Hills and open road.

Most of our driving for the next few days was up in the hills. The scenery was mind-blowing and the photos just don't do it justice. The weather was steadily getting hotter and hotter as we moved south.

The roads dried up, the haze cleared and we could appreciate the sheer scale of the hills we were driving through. Every peak we went over there was yet another hill, every bend revealed an amazing clearing or valley.

At one point a set of temporary lights bunched all the cars together. What a perfect photo opportunity! There's a special bigger version of that one. Click the words below the picture and you will be able to print that one out nicely.

Steve Marley followed the '34 for some time in his red '40 Ford, which was a good opportunity to catch him in the rearview mirror. Hey, what's the use in having a digital camera if ya don't play with it?!!!

Eventually the road flattened out a bit (see bottom pic) and the hills became more Autoroute.
